Glory and praise forever!

IF YOU REMAIN IN MY WORD, YOU WILL TRULY BE MY DISCIPLES, AND YOU WILL KNOW THE TRUTH, AND THE TRUTH WILL SET US FREE.
(Jn 8:31-32)

Yesterday I discovered a YouTube video, a 2007 program entitled 'Bill Moyers in Conversation with Sister Wendy Beckett.' Sister Wendy Beckett (1930-2018), both beautiful and fascinating, was a hermit, self-taught art historian, and reluctant television celebrity. Towards the end of the program, Sister Wendy talked about the communication that takes place between the viewer of a piece of art and the artist. It is an encounter where the viewer's truth encounters the artist's truth. Mr Moyers asked, 'What is truth?' Sister Wendy elaborated: Truth is what God made you to be but you have not yet become. Truth is all your qualities fulfilled. There are no dead sections that you were afraid to work with within you. There are no areas of negligence which you just didn't bother to take seriously. Lastly, Sister Wendy said, "I suppose the only person who was wholly true was Christ who said, 'I am the Truth.' That's what we aspire to be, to be utterly what we were meant to be."

Yes, the truth will set us free.

I AM THE WAY AND THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE.
(Jn 14:6)
