Thursday of the Fifth Week of Lent

Saint Stanislaus (1036-1079)

Readings of the Day
RB: Ch 58:1-16 The Procedure for Receiving New Members
Mass: Gen 17:3-9; Resp Ps 105; Jn 8:51-59

Look to the Lord in his strength; seek to serve him constantly.

SO THEY PICKED UP STONES TO THROW AT HIM; BUT JESUS HID AND WENT OUT OF THE TEMPLE AREA.

Today's word are few, borrowed from our chaplain at Mass this morning: 'Let us lay down all the stones we are carrying.'

From the Cross, Jesus teaches us the powerful courage of renunciation. Because we will never go forward if we are weighed down by heavy loads.

SAINT STANISLAUS, PRAY FOR US.
