If you were then raised with Christ, seek what is above.
I was privileged to have a semester long course on Catherine of Siena, saint, mystic, and Doctor of the Church. Included here is one of my favorite passages from her Dialogue: As the soul comes to know herself she also knows God better, for she sees how good he has been to her. In the gentle mirror of God she sees her own dignity: that through no merit of hers but by his creation she is the image of God (13).
God of love, mercy, and compassion, help us to grow in self-knowledge so that we grow in knowledge of you. May we love you with our whole hearts, minds, and souls and love our neighbors as ourselves.
SAINT CATHERINE OF SIENA, PRAY FOR US.
NB. Today's photo of the Golden Gate Bridge is one I like very much. It was taken yesterday.
