Friday within the Octave of Easter

Readings of the Day
RB: Ch 68 Assignment of Impossible Tasks
Mass: Acts 4:1-12; Resp Ps 118; Jn 21:1-14

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his mercy endures forever.

It's back to the normal routine of the daily. Simon Peter and his companions go to their fishing. They catch nothing. Maybe they were dozing off forgetting the events of the past days. Dawn arises and Jesus stands at the shore. The disciples did not realize it was Jesus. Do we recognize Jesus in the daily? In a smile, an embrace, in the child, the sick, the aged who needs our attention?

WHEN SIMON PETER HEARD THAT IT WAS THE LORD, HE TUCKED IN HIS GARMENT, FOR HE WAS LIGHTLY CLAD, AND JUMPED INTO THE SEA.

Keep watch intent in prayer; keep watch and carefully guard your actions; especially since the morning of that day which has no sunset has already shone upon us.
