Monday of the Fourth Week of Lent

Readings of the Day
RB: Ch 50 Those Working at a Distance or Traveling
Mass: Is 65:17-21; Resp Ps 30; Jn 4:43-54

Lo, I am about to create new heavens and a new earth.

The Lord says: 'There shall always be rejoicing and happiness in what I create.' In the wake of Laetare Sunday, let us be joyful in the Lord for 'the Lord loves a cheerful giver' (2 Cor 9:7/RB 5:16).

Happy the people whose God is the Lord!

You delight in your people: teach us to delight in one another's joys.
You take away all weeping: teach us to dry one another's tears.
You will grant fullness of life to young and old alike: teach us to cherish life from conception through natural death.
(Magnificat, Intercessions, April 1, 2019)

It's a great point of wisdom to find out one's own folly.
(The Old Farmer's Almanac, April 1, 2019)
