Thursday within the Octave of Easter

In other years: Saint Mark the Evangelist

Readings of the Day
RB: Ch 67 Those Who Are Sent on a Journey
Mass: Acts 3:11-26; Resp Ps 8; Lk 24:35-48

O Lord, our God, how wonderful your name in all the earth!

Peter's response to those who were amazed at the curing of the crippled man, 'Why do you look so intently at us as if we made him walk by our own power or piety?', takes me to the psalmist: Not to us, Lord, not to us, but to your name give the glory (Ps 115).

O chosen people, proclaim the mighty works of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light, alleluia.
(Communion Antiphon, Mass)

Lord Jesus Christ, you revealed to your disciples the mystery of your humanity risen and glorified. Grant us the eyes of faith to see your presence in all those who are your Body, you who live and reign with God the Father in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen
(Magnificat, Prayer for the Morning, April 25, 2019)

SAINT MARK THE EVANGELIST, PRAY FOR US.
