Do not forget the works of the Lord!

FORGIVE US OUR TRESPASSES
AS WE FORGIVE THOSE WHO TRESPASS AGAINST US.

In today's Gospel, Jesus tells us that we should forgive one another from our heart (Mt 18:35). And how many times am I to forgive my sister or brother, or mom or dad or neighbor or boss or co-worker or the person I find most difficult? Not seven times but seventy-seven times (Mt 18:22). Dear Jesus, gentle and humble of heart, touch our hearts and make them like your own.

When we pray, God expects that we also be mindful of those who do not think as we do, those who have slammed the door in our face, those whom we find it hard to forgive. Only prayer unlocks chains, only prayer paves the way to unity.

POPE SAINT PONTIAN AND SAINT HIPPOLYTUS,
PRAY FOR US.
