Friday of the Nineteenth Week in Ordinary Time

Saint Maximilian Kolbe (1894-1941)

Readings of the Day
RB: Ch 60 The Admission of Priests to the Monastery
Mass: Ezk 16:1-15, 60, 63 or Ezk 16:59-63; Resp Ps (Is 12); Mt 19:3-12

My strength and my courage is the Lord.

HEART OF JESUS, WELL-SPRING OF ALL VIRTUE,
HAVE MERCY ON US.

Something to think about are the things I do or don't do, say or don't say because of the hardness of my heart (Mt 19:8). Dear Jesus, take away from our bodies our stony hearts and give us hearts of flesh. (Ezk 36:26).

If we let ourselves be educated through the everyday to kindness, to patience, to peace and understanding, to forbearance and meekness, to forgiveness and endurance, to selfless loyalty, then the everyday is no longer the everyday, then it is prayer. Then all diversity becomes one in the love of God.
(Karl Rahner, 1904-1984)

SAINT MAXIMILIAN KOLBE,
PRAY FOR US.
