Wednesday of the Third Week of Lent

Saint Cyril of Jerusalem, bishop, doctor (315-386)

Readings of the Day
RB: Ch 39 The Proper Amount of Food
Mass: Dt 4:1, 5-9; Resp Ps 147; Mt 5:17-19

The Lord spreads snow like wool; frost he strews like ashes.

For comfort this day we look to the psalmist: "You will show me the path of life, the fullness of joy in your presence, O Lord" (Ps 16:11, Communion Antiphon). And the Lord will show us as we listen and take to heart: "Be still and know that I am God" (Ps 46:11). Jesus loves you! We are united in the love of Christ and in prayer.

YOUR WORDS, LORD, ARE SPIRIT AND LIFE; YOU HAVE THE WORDS OF EVERLASTING LIFE.
(Verse before the Gospel, Mass)

We join the Holy Father in his prayer at the beginning of Mass this morning:

Today we pray for the deceased, those who have died because of the virus and for health care providers who have given their life in service for the sick.
SAINT CYRIL OF JERUSALEM,
PRAY FOR US.
