Glorify the Lord with me, let us together extol his name.

THE MESSAGE OF LENT IS THAT GOD'S MERCIFUL LOVE IS STRONGER THAN ALL THAT URGES US TO SETTLE FOR THE LEAST WE CAN BE.
(Magnificat, Prayer for the Evening, March 2, 2020)

The word comes to us from the mouth of the Lord (Is 55:11). The Word is among us to nurture us and make us fruitful so that we become more Christlike, and love the Lord our God with our whole heart, our whole soul, all our strength, and love our neighbor as ourselves. May we not settle for mediocrity, or being the least we can be. May our hearts be open to the challenge the Word offers, to be open to inner conversion and change. We pray for the grace to do God's will under all circumstances, especially at times when we are experiencing struggles or are among others with whom we have difficulties. May your will be done, Our Father, on earth as it is in heaven (Mt 6:10).

SO NOW, O CHILDREN, LISTEN TO ME, GO NOT ASTRAY FROM THE WORDS OF MY MOUTH.
(Prv 5:7)

SAINT KATHARINE DREXEL,
PRAY FOR US.
