Saturday of the Twenty-Ninth Week in Ordinary Time

Blessed Virgin Mary

Readings of the Day
RB: Ch 19 The Discipline of the Psalmody
Mass: Rm 8:1-11; Resp Ps 24; Lk 13:1-9

The Lord's are the earth and its fullness; the world and those who dwell in it.

Sir, leave it for this year also, and I shall cultivate the ground around it and fertilize it; it may bear fruit in the future.

Living and true God, help us to keep our eyes and heart fixed on you, so that we may walk in your footsteps and bear fruit in word and deed. Heart of Jesus, fount of life and holiness, have mercy on us.

You have found favor with God. What? She is full of grace and yet she still finds grace. She is truly worthy to find what she seeks. Her own fullness was not enough. She could not rest content with her own goodness … she pleads for overflowing grace for the salvation of the universe.
(Bernard of Clairvaux, Mary Most Holy)

MARY, MOTHER OF DIVINE GRACE,
PRAY FOR US.
