Wednesday of the Sixth Week of Easter

Pope Saint Paul VI (1897-1978)

Readings of the Day
RB: Ch 7:19-23
Mass: Acts 17:15, 22-18:1; Resp Ps 148; Jn 16:12-

I will praise you, Lord, among the nations; I will tell of your name to my kin, alleluia.

This part of the Magnificat Prayer for the Morning boosts my spirits: Inspire in us a spirit of praise, that we may give you glory in everything we think and say and do, through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen. How will you give glory to God today?

We sing with the psalmist:

Heaven and earth are full of your glory.

Praise the Lord from the heavens;
praise him in the heights.
Praise him, all you angels;
praise him, all you hosts.

Praise the name of the Lord,
for his name alone is exalted;
His majesty is above earth and heaven.

Modern man listens more readily to witnesses than to teachers, and if he listens to teachers it is because they are witnesses.
(Pope St Paul VI, Address to the Members of the Consilium de Laicis, October 2, 1974)

POPE SAINT PAUL VI, PRAY FOR US.
