Readings of the Day
RB: Prologue 8-13
Mass: 1 Cor 15:1-8; Resp Ps 19; Jn 14:6-14
The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament proclaims his handiwork.
Three things Jesus tells us on this First Friday of the glorious Month of May, the first not included in today's Gospel, coming from the first verse of John 14: 'Do not let your hearts be troubled. You have faith in God; have faith also in me'; 'I am the way and the truth and the life' (vs 6); 'If you ask anything in my name, I will do it' (vs. 14). We believe, dear Jesus, help our unbelief.
In many countries May is the month of Mary. May the Mother of God accompany us and protect Christians in fighting against forces of evil. Let us entrust ourselves to her and pray for the Church and for peace in the world.

SAINTS PHILIP AND JAMES, PRAY FOR US.
