The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity

Readings of the Day
RB: Ch 7:56-58
Mass: Ex 34:4b-6, 8-9; Resp Ps (Dn 3); 2 Cor 13:11-13; Jn 3:16-18

Glory and praise for ever!

HOLY TRINITY, ONE GOD,
HAVE MERCY ON US.

Happy Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity! And it is certainly a day to celebrate as we turn once again to our Catechism: "The Most Holy Trinity is the central mystery of Christian faith and life" (234). Certainly not "a stiff-necked people" (Ex 34:9), we delve into the mystery; we listen and respond to Saint Paul: "Rejoice. Mend your ways, encourage one another, agree with one another, live in peace, and the God of love and peace will be with you. Greet one another with a holy kiss" (2 Cor 13:11-12). May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with all of us (2 Cor 13:13).

GLORY TO THE FATHER, THE SON, AND THE HOLY SPIRIT; TO GOD WHO IS, WHO WAS, AND WHO IS TO COME.
ALLELUIA.

You, the Beginning,
to whom we
are returning.
The Grace
by which we are
reconciled,
You we worship and bless!
To you be glory for ever!
Amen.
(William of St Thierry, On Contemplating God)

This feast day invites us to let ourselves once again be fascinated by the beauty of God, letting ourselves be met by Him and trusting in Him. This is the Christian life. To love, to meet God, to seek God; and He seeks us first; He meets us first.
(Pope Francis, Angelus Address, June 7, 2020)
