Wednesday of the Fifth Week of Easter

Our Lady of Fatima

Readings of the Day
RB: Ch 2:16-22
Mass: Acts 15:1-6; Resp Ps 122; Jn 15:1-8

Let us go rejoicing to the house of the Lord.

MARY, QUEEN OF THE MOST HOLY ROSARY,
PRAY FOR US.

Jesus comforts and strengthens us on yet another rainy day in May: I am the vine, you are the branches. Whoever remains in me and I in him will bear much fruit, because without me you can do nothing (Jn 15:5). Without Jesus we do nothing. We go to Jesus, the Vine of mercy, compassion, love, healing, and tenderness. May we go about these days and bear much fruit with Jesus in our hearts and minds: By this is my Father glorified, that you bear much fruit and become my disciples (Jn 15:8).

His eyes, which are the eyes of Truth, are fixed upon my heart. Where His glance falls, there is peace, for the light of His face, which is Truth, produces truth wherever it shines … No grace comes to us from heaven except Jesus looks upon our hearts. And what is more-He looks at us from within our own hearts, for we and He are one.
(Thomas Merton, The Sign of Jonas, p. 272)

IF YOU REMAIN IN ME AND MY WORDS REMAIN IN YOU, ASK FOR WHATEVER YOU WANT AND IT WILL BE DONE FOR YOU.
(Jn 15:7)

We pray with the Holy Father:

We pray today for students, the boys and girls who study, and for their teachers who need to find new ways to continue educating. May the Lord help them on this path and grant them courage and success.

OUR LADY OF FATIMA,
PRAY FOR US.
