A bountiful rain you showered down, O God, upon your inheritance; you restored the land when it languished.

MARY, HOLY VIRGIN OF VIRGINS,
PRAY FOR US.

Today through Thursday we are gifted with the great Prayer of Jesus in the 17th chapter of Saint John's Gospel. In the prayer, Jesus directly addresses His Father and begins my raising His eyes to heaven. Jesus says many things to His Father, including these comforting words: I pray for them (Jn 17:9). Thank you, Jesus, for praying for all of us. Let us take all our cares, worries, joys, and needs to Our Lord. And keep in heart and mind today's Entrance Antiphon: "The love of God has been poured into our hearts through the Spirit of God dwelling within us, alleluia."

SAINT PHILIP NERI,
PRAY FOR US.
