Tuesday of the Fourth Week of Easter

Our Lady of Lujan (Argentina)

Readings of the Day
RB: Prologue 21-32
Mass: Acts 11:19-26; Resp Ps 87; Jn 10:22-30

Glorious things are said about you, O city of God!

MARY, MOTHER OF DIVINE GRACE,
PRAY FOR US.

Jesus, the Good Shepherd continues to call us to listen to Him. The Lord's sheep hear His voice; He knows them, and they follow Him. He gives them eternal life and they shall never perish (Jn 10:27-28). With those comforting words let us listen to Barnabas in today's account from the Acts of the Apostles: "Remain faithful to the Lord in firmness of heart" (Acts 11:23).

We keep going as we listen to St Benedict too: "Clothed then with faith and the performance of good works, let us set out on this way, with the Gospel for our guide, that we may deserve to see him who has called us to his kingdom (1 Th 2:12)." ... So let us praise the Lord working in us and "say with the Prophet: Not to us, Lord, not to us give the glory, but to your name alone (Ps 113[115:1]:9). In just this way Paul the Apostle refused to take credit for the power of his preaching. He declared: By God's grace I am what I am (1 Cor 15:10). And again he said: He who boasts should boast in the Lord (2 Cor 10:17)." (RB Prologue 21, 30-32).

We pray with the Holy Father:

For the deceased who have died because of the pandemic. They have died alone, without the caresses of their loved ones. So many did not even have a funeral. May the Lord welcome them in His glory.

OUR LADY OF LUJAN,
PRAY FOR US.
