Thursday within the Octave of Easter

In other years: Saint Bernadette Soubirous (1844-1879)

Readings of the Day
RB: Ch 61:6-14
Mass: Acts 3:11-16; Resp Ps 8; Lk 24:35-48

O Lord, our God, how wonderful your name in all the earth!

HEART OF JESUS, OUR LIFE AND OUR RESURRECTION,
HAVE MERCY ON US.

There is a lot of action in today's readings, and not surprisingly, emotions once again run the gamut. When reading and reflecting on the Word today, maybe write a list of all the emotions expressed and see which ones you also might be feeling. We have folks hurrying about; one cured man clinging to Peter and John; others amazed. We have people startled and terrified and troubled. There are people incredulous for joy and then there is Jesus asking for something to eat. Jesus is in our midst and He is hungry! All of this makes me smile and sing the verse for the Gospel Acclamation: This is the day the Lord has made; let us be glad and rejoice in it. ALLELUIA, ALLELUIA.

A friend puts it this way: "Christ crucified and risen is with us these days, pouring out His new life into the world." ALLELIUA!

PEACE BE WITH YOU.
(Lk 24:36)

We pray with the Holy Father:

Let us pray for pharmacists. They are working hard, together with doctors and nurses, to help the sick get better.
