Saturday after Ash Wednesday

Readings of the Day
RB: Ch 23 Excommunication for Faults
Mass: Is 58:9b-14; Resp Ps 86; Lk 5:27-32

Teach me your way, O Lord, that I may walk in your truth.

MARY, REFUGE OF SINNERS,
PRAY FOR US.

Jesus' words today: Follow me (Lk 5:27). We call on the Name of the Lord and ask Him to help us remove oppression, false accusation and malicious speech (Is 58:9). "Then light shall rise for us in the darkness, and the gloom shall become like midday; Then the Lord will guide us always and give us plenty even on parched lands. He will renew our strength; we shall be like a watered garden, like a spring whose water never fails" (Is 58:10-11)

Let us ask the Lord to give us the ability to recognize what is causing bitterness in us, and thus allow ourselves to be reconciled people who reconcile; people at peace who bring peace, hopeful people who instill hope.
(Pope Francis, penitential liturgy for the clergy of the Diocese of Rome, February 27, 2020)

THOSE WHO ARE HEALTHY DO NOT NEED A PHYSICIAN, BUT THE SICK DO. I HAVE NOT COME TO CALL THE RIGHTEOUS TO REPENTANCE BUT SINNERS.
(Lk 5:31-32)
