How lovely is your dwelling place, Lord, mighty God!

MARY, HEALTH OF THE SICK,
PRAY FOR US.

The following from Pope Francis may serve as a guide and inspiration for any who accompany the frail, weak and suffering in the midst of daily life at home, work, or school. We are reminded too by Saint Benedict to support with the greatest patience one another's weaknesses of body or behavior (RB 72:5). Jesus, Divine Physician, "if it be your will, heal our ills of body, mind, and spirit, so that with the Blessed Virgin Mary and all the saints, we may sing your praise for ever, through Christ our Lord. Amen" (Magnificat, Prayer for the Morning, February 11, 2020).

Jesus does not make demands of those who endure situations of frailty, suffering and weakness, but offers his mercy and his comforting presence. He looks upon a wounded humanity with eyes that gaze into the heart of each person. That gaze is not one of indifference; rather, it embraces people in their entirety, each person in his or her health condition, discarding no one, but rather inviting everyone to share in his life and to experience his tender love.
(Message of His Holiness Pope Francis for the XXVIII World Day of the Sick 2020, 1)

OUR LADY OF LOURDES,
PRAY FOR US.
