Beside restful waters he leads me; he refreshes my soul.

MARY, QUEEN OF APOSTLES,
PRAY FOR US.

Today we celebrate the Feast of the Chair of St Peter, "a feast celebrated since the fourth century that recognizes the unity of the Church and the part played by papal ministry" (R. Strange, The Times, February 22, 2020). Let us pray today especially for Pope Francis who continually asks us to remember him in prayer. And as we are once again presented with THE question posed by Jesus, But who do you say that I am? (Mt 16:15/Mk 8:29), may we in faith answer with Simon Peter and all his successors: "You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God" (Mt 16:16).

On this feast of the Chair of St Peter, we give thanks to God for the mission entrusted to the apostle Peter and his successors: to gather His people from among the nations and guide them in charity and truth along the path of salvation.
(Pope Francis, Twitter, February 22, 2020).

SAINT PETER THE APOSTLE,
PRAY FOR US.
