RB: Prologue 33-38
Mass: 1 Co 3:1-9; Resp Ps 33; Lk 4:38-44
I shall liken anyone who hears my words and carries them out in deed to one who is wise enough to build on a rock.
(RB Prologue 33)
It is a beautiful day at Redwoods. The sun shines brightly, the sky is brilliant blue, and it is cooler. It seems a good day to make a little extra space for silence, to listen attentively to the Word of God, and build our houses on rock.
God of might, giver of every good gift, put into our hearts the love of your name, so that, by deepening our sense of reverence, you may nurture in us what is good and, by your watchful care, keep safe what you have nurtured.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.
Amen.
