To the humble the Lord shows kindness.
Let us pray for the gift of true humility;

Where arrogance and selfishness divide families, communities, and nations:

Where ambition hinders loving service:
HUMBLE OUR HEARTS, O LORD!
Where fear of disapproval keeps us from the works of mercy:
HUMBLE OUR HEARTS, O LORD!
