Thursday of the Thirty-Second Week in Ordinary Time

Readings of the Day
RB: Ch 36 Care of the Sick
Mass: Wis 7:22b-8:1; Resp Ps 119; Lk 17:20-25

Your word is for ever, O Lord.

HEART OF JESUS, IN WHOM ARE ALL TREASURES OF WISDOM AND KNOWLEDGE,
HAVE MERCY ON US.

It seems a day to pray for wisdom in the whatever struggles, decisions, and choices we face, especially as Jesus tells us, the Kingdom of God is among you (Lk 17:21). For wisdom "is an aura of the might of God and pure effusion of the glory of the Almighty" (Wis 7:25). And wisdom "produces friends of God" (Wis 7:27); "she governs all things well"! (Wis 8:1).

Personally, it seems that everything always changes in my life, but in reality almost nothing changes. In the end, we always do the same, the "one thing": trying to the be with the Lord, thanking Him so much for the blessings received, and putting all that we are and have at His service and that of His Church.
