Lord, when your glory appears, my joy will be complete.

HEART OF JESUS, OUR LIFE AND OUR RESURRECTION,
HAVE MERCY ON US.

Dear friends, buona domenica! If just may be that today is as busy as yesterday. We pray for one another today and throughout the week with words from St Paul: "May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who has loved us and given us everlasting encouragement and good hope through his grace, encourage your hearts and strengthen them in every good deed and word … may the Lord direct your hearts to the love of God and to the endurance of Christ" (2 Th 2:16-17; 3:5). We remember too the people of South Sudan and Bolivia, who the Holy Father has asked us to remember in prayer.

God is not of the dead, but of the living; for all live for Him … there is no life where one has the pretension to belong only to oneself and to live as islands: in these attitudes death prevails.
(Pope Francis, Angelus Address, November 10, 2019)

Living and true God, help us to lay aside sadness and be of good cheer (Job 9:27) as we strive to live the Gospel and be people of encouragement and joy.
Amen.

POPE SAINT LEO THE GREAT,
BLESSED MARIA EMILIA RIQUELME Y ZAYAS,
SAINT BARTHOLOMEW FERNANDES OF THE MARTYRS,
PRAY FOR US.
