Thursday of the Twenty-Third Week in Ordinary Time

The Most Holy Name of Mary

Readings of the Day
RB: Ch 2:16-22
Mass: Col 3:12-17; Resp Ps 150; Lk 6:27-38

Let everything that breathes praise the Lord!

Today we are presented with a litany of sorts, Christian values to "put on" as St Paul writes in his epistle to the Colossians. Remember, as Paul addresses the Colossians, we are "God's chosen ones, holy and beloved", so let us clothe ourselves with:

Heartfelt compassion
Kindness
Humility
Gentleness and patience
Forgiveness
LOVE, THE BOND OF PERFECTION
The peace of Christ
Thankfulness and gratitude

So clothed, may we

Let the word of Christ dwell in us richly
With all wisdom teach and admonish one another
Sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with gratitude in our hearts to God
In word and deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus,
giving thanks to God the Father through him.

THE MEASURE WITH WHICH YOU MEASURE WILL IN RETURN BE MEASURED OUT TO YOU.
(Lk 6:38)

Today we celebrate the feast of the Most Holy Name of Mary. I invite everyone to turn to Our Lady. Let her inspire you with a Christian outlook, so as to live like and imitate her Son Jesus ever more.

MARY, QUEEN OF PEACE, PRAY FOR US.
