World Alzheimer's Day

Readings of the Day
RB: Ch 4:63-78
Mass: Ep 4:1-7, 11-13; Resp Ps 19; Mt 9:9-13

Their message goes out through all the earth.

HEART OF JESUS, DELIGHT OF ALL SAINTS,
HAVE MERCY ON US.

As we celebrate St Matthew, Jesus is passing by. He sees you; He sees me. His words are few: Follow me. Some ways to follow the Lord and live in a manner worthy of the call we have received (Ep 4:1) come from St Paul; others from St Benedict. May we live with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another through love, striving to preserve the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace (Ep 4:2-3). May we live by God's commandments every day; treasure chastity, harbor neither hatred nor jealousy of anyone, and do nothing out of envy. May we not love quarreling; shun arrogance. Respect the elders and love the young; pray for one another out of love for Christ. If we have a dispute with someone, make peace with him or her before the sun goes down. And finally, never lose hope in God's mercy. (RB 4:63-74).

Grace is given to each of us according to the measure of Christ's gift.
So let us build up the Body of Christ.
(Ep 4:7,12)

SAINT MATTHEW, PRAY FOR US.
