First Friday of the Month

Know that the Lord God; he made us, his we are.

Welcome to another First Friday of the Month!

St Paul tell us through his letter to the Colossians that for in Christ Jesus "were created all things in heaven and on earth, the visible and the invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers; all things through him and for him." Take this little bug in today's photo. We know from the first story of creation that God made all kinds of creeping things of the earth, along with all kinds of living creatures, cattle and wild animals of all kinds (Gn 1:24-25). And God saw how good it was. Indeed, all things were created through Him and for Him! May God be praised. Why not carry around a sense of awe and wonder today for the beauty of God's work, in all things and in all people. For in Christ Jesus were created all things in heaven and on earth!

GIVE THANKS TO GOD; BLESS HIS NAME.
FOR HE IS GOOD, THE LORD WHOSE KINDNESS ENDURES FOREVER,
AND HIS FAITHFULNESS, TO ALL GENERATIONS.

Aware of our own weakness and God's strength, let us pray:
Have pity on us, Lord!
Keep us faithful to you in temptation and fear, that we may recount all your wonders.
(Magnificat, Intercessions, September 6, 2019.

WHAT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO US BY NATURE, LET US ASK THE LORD TO SUPPLY BY THE HELP OF HIS GRACE.
(RB Prologue 41)

We pray for Pope Francis, now in Madagascar, that his pastoral visit bring the desired fruits. Mary, Solus Popoli Romani, pray for us.
