Wednesday of the Nineteenth Week in Ordinary Time

Saint Maximilian Kolbe, priest, martyr (1894-1941)

Readings of the Day
RB: Ch 60 The Admission of Priests into the Monastery
Mass: Dt 34:1-12; Resp Ps 66; Mt 18:15-20

Blessed be the God who filled my soul with fire!

Along with the themes of forgiveness, reconciliation, and prayer in Jesus' words to us today, why not ask one or another person to pray the Lord's Prayer with you. For wherever two or three are gathered in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

FORGIVE US OUR TRESPASSES
AS WE FORGIVE THOSE WHO TRESPASS AGAINST US.

To forgive is to acknowledge and proclaim that, despite all our malice and ignorance, God recognizes us as well-beloved sons and daughters. To forgive is to bear witness, in spite of everything, to our condition as children of God and to our common destiny, which is divine.
(Bernardo Olivera, OCSO)

SAINT MAXIMILIAN KOLBE, PRAY FOR US.

NB. Today's photo: Red hot pokers fitting with our Responsorial Psalm!
