Praise the Lord, all you nations; glorify him, all you peoples!

Inspiration for today's offering comes from Pope Francis and his Angelus Address, via Twitter. The Holy Father has this to say about today's Gospel: "Jesus explains how in Heaven there is no 'limited number', but in order to get there, already in this life we must pass through the 'narrow gate': loving God and our neighbor. And this is not easy!" We now turn to St Paul for a few specifics on the narrow gate of love.

Love is patient, love is kind. It is not jealous, is not pompous, it is not inflated, it is not rude, it does not seek its own interests, it is not quick-tempered, it does not brood over injury. It does not rejoice over wrong-doing but rejoices with the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails.
(1 Cor 13:4-8)

LET MUTUAL LOVE CONTINUE.
(Heb 13:1)

ENDURE YOUR TRIALS AS "DISCIPLINE".
(Heb 12:7)

Everything depends upon perseverance. Let us ask God to grant us this good will, let us ask him for it every day; and let us try to merit, by our fidelity to the grace of today, to obtain it again on the next day.
(Jean-Nicolas Grou, S.J.)

SAINT LOUIS, PRAY FOR US.
