Thursday of the Third Week of Lent

Readings of the Day
RB: Ch 48:1-9 The Daily Manual Labor
Mass: Jr 7:23-28; Resp Ps 95; Lk 11:14-23

If today you hear his voice, harden not your hearts.

Jesus tells the crowd: 'Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.' For focus then we can turn to words from St Paul: Seek what is above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God … Think of what is above, not of what is on earth (Col 3:1-2).

O Lord, your word is the rock upon which is built the house in which you dwell with us. As we journey through our day, bring us safely to the home you have prepared for us, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
(Magnificat, Prayer for the Morning, March 28, 2019)

If we do not listen to the voice of the Lord, our hearts become like soil without water. That is why the Lord says: "Harden not your hearts.'
(Pope Francis, Twitter, March 28, 2019)
