Saturday of the First Week of Lent

Readings of the Day
RB: Ch 37 Care of the Elderly and the Young
Mass: Dt 26:16-19; Resp Ps 119; Mt 5:43-48

Be perfect, just as your heavenly Father is perfect.

The message of today's Gospel is clear: Love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your heavenly Father, for he makes his sun rise on the bad and the good, and causes rain to fall on the just and the unjust.

Let us pray for those with whom we do not live in peace, asking God through the intercession of Mary:

Grant them every blessing, Lord.

For those who have hurt or harmed us.
For those who dislike us.
For those who look down on us.
For those who refuse to speak to us.
(Magnificat, Prayer for the Morning, Intercessions, March 16, 2019)

OWE NOTHING TO ANYONE, EXCEPT TO LOVE ONE ANOTHER; FOR THE ONE WHO LOVES ANOTHER HAS FULFILLED THE LAW.
(Rm 13:8)
