Saint Stephen of Hungary (d. 1038); Saint Roch (14th century)

Thursday of the Nineteenth Week in Ordinary Time

Readings of the Day
RB: Ch 61:6-14
Mass: Ezk 12:1-12; Resp Ps 78; Mt 18:21-19:1

Do not forget the works of the Lord.
(Resp Ps 78)

Is it seven times that I must forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Jesus answered, 'I say to you, not seven times but seventy-seven times."

As followers of Jesus, we are all called to be a presence of Jesus, to free people from the barriers of fear and sin, by the power of the Holy Spirit in us and loving through us. We are called to be a fountain of grace...we are called to be men and women of forgiveness.
(Jean Vanier)

SAINT STEPHEN OF HUNGARY, SAINT ROCH,
PRAY FOR US.
