MOUNT TABOR
MOUNT OF THE TRANSFIGURATION

Jesus took Peter, James, and his brother John, and led them up a high mountain apart by themselves.

Jesus wants us to see his glory, so that we can cling to that experience in moments of doubt, despair or anguish. When we are attentive to the light within and around us, we will gradually see more and more of that light and even become a light to others.
(Henri Nouwen)

AND HE WAS TRANSFIGURED BEFORE THEM,
AND HIS CLOTHES BECAME DAZZLING WHITE.

The disciples' experience on Mount Tabor is an invitation to us to abandon worldly things and to contemplate Jesus.
