Thursday of the Seventeenth Week in Ordinary Time

Saint Peter Chrysologus, bishop, doctor (380-450)
World Day Against Trafficking Against Persons

Readings of the Day
RB: Ch 48:22-25
Mass: Jer 18:1-6; Resp 146; Mt 13:47-53

God, who made heaven and earth, the sea and all that is in them.

The Kingdom of heaven, like a net thrown into the sea, collects fish of every kind (Mt 13:47). We live and work and play with people of every kind. Some of this stature, some of another; a few of this temperament, a few of that; others of this shade, some of that; then there are those from near, and those from far. The Lord has chosen each one of us. He chose us and appointed us to go and bear fruit, fruit that will last. May we be about bearing good fruit with whomever we find ourselves, those like this, and those like that. Our help is in the Name of the Lord.

SAINT PETER CHRYSOLOGOUS,
PRAY FOR US.
