Buona domenica!

Although brief, today's offering gives us something to ponder:

Each of the beatitudes has to do with dying to self. Poverty of spirit, the foundation of the beatitudes, is the ongoing process of dying to self, not out of self-hatred or collapse of self-esteem, but because there is no other way to love God or neighbor.
(Jim Forest The Ladder of the Beatitudes)

BLESSED ARE THEY WHO PUT THEIR TRUST IN GOD.
(Resp Ps 1)

Rejoice and be glad; your reward will be great in heaven.
Alleluia.
(Gospel Acclamation, Mass)
