RB: Ch 19 Our Approach to Prayer
Mass: Si 1:1-10; Resp Ps 93; Mk 9:14-29
The sand of the seashore, the drops of rain, the days of eternity; who can number these?
Happy Monday. It is raining cats and dogs in this neck of the woods. The rain is relentless. For comfort in whatever space and mood you find yourself in, the author of the Book of Sirach gives much beauty to ponder: All wisdom comes from the Lord and with him it remains forever, and is before all time … He has poured her forth upon all his works, upon every living thing according to his bounty; he has lavished her upon his friends.
IF YOU CAN DO ANYTHING, LORD, HAVE COMPASSION ON US AND HELP US.
EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE TO ONE WHO HAS FAITH.
Lord Jesus Christ, you have brought us safely to this new day, as you have promised to bring us safely to dwell with you one day in your Kingdom of light. Defend us against all that would weigh us down and slow our steps, so that we may run with delight in the way of your Gospel, who live and reign with the Father in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

GOD'S LOVE IS THE ONLY POWER CAPABLE OF MAKING ALL THINGS NEW.
