Monday of the Sixth Week in Ordinary Time

Readings of the Day
RB: Ch 15 When the Alleluia Should Be Said
Mass: Gn 4:1-15, 25; Resp Ps 50; Mk 8:11-13

Am I my brother's keeper?

We are meant to look out for one another. Reach out to someone today with a kind word or gesture.

I invite you to pray during these days for the Meeting on the Protection of Minors in the Church, an event that I want to be a powerful gesture of pastoral responsibility in the face of an urgent challenge of our time.
(Pope Francis, Twitter, February 18, 2019)

O Lord our God, you have replanted on our earth the garden lost in Eden, and you have sent a new Gardener to till the soil plowed by the wood of the cross. He who is both the farmer and the seed has watered the earth with his life's blood, shed for our redemption. Make us grow in his likeness by the power of his word dwelling in our hearts.
Through the same Christ our Lord.
Amen.
(Magnificat, Prayer for the Morning, February 18, 2019)

Be my protector, O God, a mighty stronghold to save me. For you are my rock, my stronghold! Lead me, guide me, for the sake of your name.
(Entrance Antiphon, Mass)
