Saint John Bosco (1815-1888)

Thursday of the Third Week in Ordinary Time

Readings of the Day
RB: Ch 7:34
Mass: Heb 10:19-25; Resp Ps 24; Mk 4:21-25

We must consider how to rouse one another to love and good works.

First, a comment about the photo, a stretch to go with the line from the Letter to the Hebrews. The photo was taken in Indianapolis, IN, sent by a brother of mine. I am glad to be here rather than there. Still, it dawns on me that no matter the weather, no matter the circumstances, no matter the people we find ourselves with, we are called to rouse one another to love and good works. The measure with which you measure will be measured out to you.

Take care what you hear.

SAINT JOHN BOSCO, PRAY FOR US.

Don Bosco had the courage to look at reality with human eyes and with the eyes of God. May every priest imitate him by seeing reality with human eyes and with the eyes of God.
