Monday of the Seventh Week of Easter

Saints Charles Lwanga and his Companions (- 1885/7)

Readings of the Day
RB: Ch 7:44-48
Mass: Acts 19:1-8; Resp Ps 68; Jn 16:29-33

Sing to God, O kingdoms of the earth.

When Paul laid his hands on about twelve men in Ephesus, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke in tongues and prophesied. What do you suppose that was like?

In the world you will have trouble, but take courage, I have conquered the world. May we have peace in Him who conquered the world through his passion, death, and resurrection.

IF THEN YOU WERE RAISED WITH CHRIST, SEEK WHAT IS ABOVE, WHERE CHRIST IS SEATED AT THE RIGHT HAND OF GOD.
(Gospel Acclamation, Mass)

The Ascension of our Lord into Heaven inaugurates a new form of the presence of Jesus amongst us, and asks us to have the eyes and the heart to encounter Him, serve Him, and be His witness to others.
(Pope Francis, Twitter, June 3, 2019)

SAINTS CHARLES LWANGA AND COMPANIONS, PRAY FOR US.
