I will lead them to brooks of water, on a level road, so that none shall stumble.

Are you ready for the question? What do you want me to do for you? Jesus is few in words and direct. The blind man replies likewise: Master, I want to see. Jesus addresses each of us on this Thirtieth Sunday of Ordinary Time, just days before we embark on the solemnity rich month of November. In preparation, may the Body of Christ cry out with Bartimaeus, 'Jesus, son of David, have pity on me'! Are we, like Bartimaeus, ready to be courageous, throw outside our cloaks, and spring up? Jesus, the Healer, son of David, speak to us: Go your way; your faith has saved you.

IMMEDIATELY HE RECEIVED HIS SIGHT AND FOLLOWED HIM ON THE WAY. 

If we beg for healing, Christ hears our cry. He heals us and saves us, and so we can follow him on the path of light that the miraculously healed eyes of the heart can see.
