All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.
HEART OF JESUS, TABERNACLE OF THE MOST HIGH,
HAVE MERCY ON US.
In the wake of my Solemn Profession, I am drawn to pep talks, especially when we have so many saints this month to pray for us and cheer us along on our journey of faith. Saint Paul, in today's passage from the Letter to the Romans, begins by telling the brothers and sisters that he is convinced that they are "full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, and able to admonish one another" (Rm 15:14). We also want to be full of goodness, knowledge, and to urge one another on. Our saint of the day, Blessed Frances d'Ambroise, first wife, then widow, then Carmelite nun, is considered the foundress of the Carmelite nuns in France. Just before she died, she encouraged her sisters in this way: "In everything, do that which will make God loved the more" (Universalis). Blessed Frances urges us on too. Dear Jesus, show me the path of life, the fullness of joy in your presence (Communion Antiphon, Mass).
BLESSED FRANCES D'AMBROISE,
SAINT JOSEPH,
PRAY FOR US.
