MARY, QUEEN OF PEACE,
OUR LADY OF MONTILGEON,
SAINT MICHAEL THE ARCHANGEL,
PRAY FOR US.
The Lord is the eternal God, creator of the ends of the earth.
(Is 40:28)
On this day that we commemorate the great Saint Ambrose of Milan, who was baptized, ordained, and installed as bishop within a week in 374, was instrumental in the conversion of Saint Augustine, and became one of the Four Great Doctors of the Western Church along with Saint Augustine, Saint Gregory the Great, and Saint Jerome, we also remember "a date which will live in infamy" (President Franklin D. Roosevelt), December 7, 1941. We remember all those who died at Pearl Harbor, some 2,403 U.S. service members and civilians. May they, and all those who have died in service to our country and our Church rest in the peace of Christ. We have so much to pray for, dear faithful readers. We take all our needs, cares, joys, and sorrows to Jesus who says, Come to me, all you who labor are burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for yourselves. For my yoke is easy, and my burden light (Mt 11:28-30).
For a good man to die is gain. The foolish fear death as the greatest of evils, the wise desire it as a rest after labors and the end of ills.
(Saint Ambrose of Milan, Bishop, Doctor)
SAINT AMBROSE OF MILAN,
SAINT AUGUSTINE,
SAINT JEROME,
SAINT GREGORY THE GREAT,
PRAY FOR US.
Today's photo: I found this yesterday during the daily morning regime. He heals all your ills.
