If only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus,
to bear witness to the Gospel of God’s grace.

Today I remember two monks, friends and mentors, who certainly embodied St Paul’s words while heeding St Benedict’s command to ‘yearn for everlasting life with holy desire’ (RB 4:46). It happens that I introduced them to one another some years ago and not surprisingly, they ‘hit if off’. One didn’t care for singing so much, the other loved to sing. No matter, they now sing God’s praises with the saints and angels!

REST IN PEACE.

Think of those in your life who have died. What qualities of holiness did they model and pass on to you so that you may pass them on to others?

MAY CHRIST BRING US ALL TOGETHER TO EVERLASTING LIFE.
(RB 72:12)
