Whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.

In light of St Paul's words, "God loves a cheerful giver", I include quotations from the little book, The Way of Gratitude: Readings for a Joyful Life (Orbis, 2017). Our prayer for today using the words of St Paul: May each of us do as already determined, without sadness or compulsion. God help us, Our Lord who is able to make every grace abundant for us, so that in all things always having all we need, we may have an abundance for every good work

Every day, think as you wake up: "Today I am fortunate to have woken up. I am alive, I have a precious human life. I am not going to waste it.
(The Dalai Lama)

Gratitude is the doorway to joy.
(Thomas Hora)

The root of joy is gratefulness. It is not joy that makes us grateful; it is gratitude that makes us joyful.
(David Steindl-Rast)

If the only prayer you ever say in your entire life is thank you, it will be enough.
(Meister Eckhart)

SAINT LAWRENCE, PRAY FOR US.

NB. Today's photo: Cucumbers from our garden turned pickles by Sister Karen, one of our artisans. In all things may God be glorified (1Pt 4:11/RB 57:7).
