Twentienth Sunday in Ordinary Time

Readings of the Day
RB: Ch 63:10-19
Mass: Pr 9:1-6; Resp Ps 34; Ep 5:15-20; Jn 6:51-58

Come, eat of my food, and drink of the wine I have mixed! Forsake foolishness that you may live; advance in the way of understanding.
(Pr 9:5-6)

Today's words are simple and a call to action, from Jean Vanier and Pope Francis, respectively.

Transfigured by the Word made flesh our flesh becomes a gentle instrument of the love of God to flow in others.
(Jesus, the Gift of Love)

The Eucharist, Jesus the Bread of Life, is the beating heart of the Church and renews in us the impulse to love.
